Challenges that go viral, is death worth internet hits & likes? #firechallenge #passoutchallenge

I know as you read the title you are asking yourself " how can anyone be so crazy to set themselves on fire"?

This is not fun or funny! This is deadly!

Not only are these kids setting themselves on fire, they are using rubbing alcohol as an accelerant and video taping each other to prove they did the #firechallenge.

This young man actually posted a video after this one showing his burns, and telling others Not to do it......ya think?

I just want to scream right now!

The 2 young ladies in the photo above are being video taped while doing the #passoutchallenge , notice the contorted body of the girl on the ground. Most likely caused by a lack of oxygen to her brain, seizure and probable brain cell death occurring. Nobody offers to help her up or make sure she does not injure herself while flopping around on the ground?? How crazy!

Several challenges are circulating the internet & video airwaves right now that are very dangerous for your children to even think about. Search these hashtags :

#firechallenge

#passoutchallenge

#gtschallenge

#passoutgame

#chokingchallenge

#gotosleepchallenge

#chokinggame

#spacemonkeychallenge or game

Educate yourself, your kids and others about these deadly risk behaviors!

Save a life! Tell others

For more info and education visit http://Ed4Ed4All.com

Also tell social media, esp Facebook to please remove these videos and photos, apparently Facebook does not think that they violate any of their community standards ?? Is this not Self Harm people? YouTube thinks so!

Break these Chains..

Debbie LaRocque started this string of beads in 2006 with the 1st bead being her child's. Each bead represents a child that we know has died from the choking game since then. This string of beads is now over 20 ft long with over 600 beads and these are only the ones that are self-reported.

Today October 11, 2012 marks the first World Choking Game Awareness Day! #SPEAKUP  and shout out the importance and significance of making more people aware of this deadly game that kids are playing!

THESE KIDS ARE DYING! WE CAN STOP THIS
EDUCATE YOURSELF
EDUCATE YOUR KIDS!
EMPOWER YOUR COMMUNITY

10-11-12 the ages you should talk to kids because the average age of death is 13. It is estimated that 75% of kids know about the game but 40% of kids think it's harmless. It is not - just start asking 13 and 14 yr olds if they've heard of a game where kids pass out for fun because it has way too many names among kids to ask just about the choking game..

On 10/11/12, we request that you make the ribbon your profile pic or at least talk to some people about the game.

IT IS going on around you - SPEAK UP

and help keep our children from dying a senseless death.

Thank you to the Kris Marceno Foundation for their award winning PSA -

Pinterest and The Choking Game who guessed?

Tonight I searched my favorite website Pinterest for pins about "The Choking Game" thinking that Pinterest was just for cute crafty home kind of stuff, and I was totally wrong. I did find many pins that mentioned TCG so I created a board dedicated to safety and our children. You can find my Pinterest tab to the right on the sidebar. If you are on Pinterest search #Chokinggame #kidssafety for other interesting pins to add to your own boards. Pinterest is a great way to connect your educational efforts also with others and spread the word and cause to help stop the choking game, especially if you link your Pinterest with Twitter and Facebook!
